Engineering Planner

Running of engineering store and control stock levels. Managing of spares and maintenance admin including audits

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan & prepare work packages for every planned and unplanned maintenance.
  • Control stock levels on both critical spares, consumables and engineering spares
  • Order, receive, supervise and manage spares in storeroom.
  • Coordinate daily, weekly and monthly planning for maintenance shutdown and maintenance stoppages.
  • Ensure to execute Gemba-walks to improve overall efficiency
  • Coordinate to rebuild spare equipment through internal services and external suppliers
  • Archive the drawings, manuals and other documents to assist artisans with repairs or modifications.
  • Ensure submission engineering drawings for any further required revisions or upgrades.
  • Execute modification in maintenance records & key equipment with significant spares during setting apt reorder levels along with quantities
  • Coordinate plant shutdowns to attain all essential schedules
  • Aid with least amount production downtime
  • Support department’s compliance to any Lean Manufacturing goals and objectives
  • Aid engineering for spare parts preparation and PM lists for new equipment
  • Provide technical assistance for supporting engineering activities
  • Support proactively all EH &S procedures and policies as well as Food Safety

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Electrical and Mechanical Trade Test (advantageous)
  • 3–5 years’ experience in Engineering (Essential)
  • Computer literacy (Essential)
  • Organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-discipline
  • Ability to work under pressure

Maintenance Foreman

Key Responsibilities

  • Order, receive and supervise required material to assist maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate daily, weekly and monthly planning for maintenance shutdown and maintenance gaps

Microbiology Intern

We are URGENTLY looking for x1 Microbiology Intern at IDZ Coega for a 12 months internship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scale verification & daily calibration of equipment
  • Overall cleanliness of the lab, including taking out biohazardous waste, cleaning autoclave and incubators.
  • Making in-house media.
  • Daily temperature monitoring of temperature sensitive equipment
  • Collecting samples from different sampling points and inoculation of media.
  • Complete a special project as assigned by the laboratory manager.
  • Recording, analysing and reporting results.
  • Environmental swabbing
  • Final product testing and source water testing

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Bsc. in Microbiology
  • Ms Office
  • Analytical skills

RO Operator

Key Responsibilities

  • Run RO plant and brine related tasks
  • Assist with general work and maintenance
  • Responsible for making brine, day and night
  • To drive tractor and trailer/loader and excavator
