We are URGENTLY looking for a proactive and dedicated HSE Officer Intern for a 6-month internship.

NB: Only candidates that meet the requirements will be considered!!

•Assisting with the identification of HSE hazards and environmental aspects.

•Perform routine safety inspections and audits of mining operations, equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards

•Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards specific to salt open-cast mining operations

•Supporting HSE training sessions, toolbox talks and induction programmes

•Stay updated with changes in health and safety regulations and implement necessary adjustments to company policies

•Ensure adherence to the Mine Health and Safety Act, NEMA and other relevant legislation

•Matric/ Grade 12

•Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Science or related field

•Valid Driver’s License (Added Advantage)

•Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

•Proficiency in basic computer applications (i.e Ms Office)

•Knowledge of health and safety legislation

•Attention to detail

•Ability to work as part of a team

•Communication skills

•Organizational skills
